Innovative new app . . . Closet swap

Closet Swap is a new free clothes swapping app launched by Channel 4 encouraging everyone across the nation to stop shopping and start swapping! Exchanging any unwanted clothes with friends via facebook and the online swapping site.

You can upload photos of your un-wanted wares and post them on the site, creating your very own online closet that can be viewed by your friends. If you've got an ipod or iphone and your in desperate need of the perfect LBD for a night out, you can send out a fashion SOS which will automatically be posted to your Swap Shop friends on Facebook. If trawling vinatge and charity shops is more your thing you can view all of the shops in your area at the touch, (or click) of a button, very handy for if your out and about.

The app has already developed quite a following, with Tatty Devine joining the campaign, and even putting some of her own clothes up on the site to swap, as well as sustainable designer Ada Zanditon. We think it's a great idea, you could even get crafty and customise your swaps if you're feeling adventurous.
