This has been one of the most popular look on all the red carpets, and it's one of the key beauty trends for the coming spring/summer. Here's our guide on how to achieve the look . . .
1. The first step is to make sure your face is clear of any impurities and oil build up, a cleanser will gently exfoliate your face, and leave it squeaky clean. Clinique's Clarifying Lotion is perfect for this, tailored for specific skin types whether you have oily, dry or combination skin.
2. The next step is to rehydrate your skin, the best way to do this is by using a tinted lotion, which is applied like a moisturiser. Clinique's Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer is available in a range of shades, allowing you to match it to your natural skin tone, its even won an Elle Beauty Award!
3. To conceal and blemishes and under eye circles a pigment rich concealer like Chanel's Long Lasting Correcting Concealer will stay put all day, brightening the skin and minimising imperfections. For blemishes build up the concealer in thin layers, and for dark circles, swipe the wand under your eye and blend using your finger.
4. If you suffer with oily or shiny skin then an oil absorbing powder, Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals Matte SPF 15 foundation, make sure you use a brush in a circular motion for flawless coverage.
5. For a slightly flushed complexion Bloom's Cream Blush Duo, provides an illuminating lighter shade for your cheekbones and a slightly darker shade for the perfect peachy blush on the cheeks. Remember to pick warm tones to fully achieve this look.
6. The next stage is to add colour to your eyes, opt for brownish tint slightly darker than your skin tone which will enhance your eyes natural contours. Bourjois have a range of fantastic eye shadows, our personal favourite is Beige Rose in the little pots range.
7. Defined lashes are essential for pulling off this look, apply two coats to your top set of lashes and one to the bottom, No7's Exceptional Definition Mascara has a 3-in-1 brush, with the left side giving volume, the right combs the lashes to avoid them clumping, whilst the end of the brush comes in handy for tricky, hard to reach lashes.
8. Last but by no means least are the lips, choose a lip colour that is a close match to your own, MaxFactors Lipfinity Lip Tint are good for this and the colour will last all day too! Apply a little to your lips dabbed on with your finger. Alternatively you could use a lip balm like Vaseline's Rosy Lips that has a subtle pink tint.
