AW12 Couture . . .

As it is now the end of Couture week in Paris we couldn't help but do a round up of some of our favourite pieces from the seven day event, from gorgeous shoes to glittering gowns Couture week had it all . . . just a shame about the hefty price tag!

Shoes

Just one of our favourite pairs of shoes from the week. A twist on the traditional court sling back from Bouchra Jarrar.

Beautiful peep toes from the Elie Saab collection

Dresses

Never one to let us down on the glitz and glamour of Couture, Elie Saab hit the fashion spot with his beautiful collection of stunning gowns, which are sure to be seen on a celeb or Royal or two in the next couple of months. . .

Giambattista Valli, certainly lived up to the opulence and extravagance that goes hand in hand with couture. The collection focus on the age old traditional ruffle, the dress above is one of the more toned down pieces, one of favourites from the collection (just!) we love the scarlet red colour!

Sheer luxe was the name of the game at Valentino, we're loving this navy number, with contrasting panels in all the right places!

Something a little bit different . . .

Since John Galliano's turbulent departure from Dior the shows have been somewhat paired down in comparison. Gone are the opulent shows and exaggerated silhouettes worn by some of the world's most iconic supermodels. Today the brand is focusing on simplistic, yet feminine design, that is most importantly wearable! And for AW it seems that a cropped straight leg trouser is the perfect option for any evening out.
