Girl heart boy: No such thing as forever . . .

Spinbreakers crew member Agnes gives us the low down on the latest must have read of the summer 'Girl Heart Boy: No such thing as forever' by Ali Cronin . . .

Amazing !! Perfectly epic teen read

So I was lucky enough to go to the launch of Girl heart Boy and get a free e-copy and believe me it was a privilege. The book is amazing and I am tempted to get a hard copy just so I can read it, and share with others, it was amazing and I loved it. I felt like I could relate with Sarah, I felt her ups and downs and at times I could almost throw my
i-phone away just to avoid the awkwardness of the situation that she gets herself into. I wanted to literally and shake her. But also at times I thought, hey, I’ve been in your shoes and felt her pain.

I read this book on holiday, and at times stayed up reading till 5am just to get to a less climatic moment, but there never was one. I love that it is part of a series, and I know that other teens will love it. It is so worth reading, and all of the interactive content enhances the experience.

I don’t want to ruin the book, but if I had to sum it up in 5 words I would choose Love,  friendship, growing-up, romance, reality. It was one of those books that days after you have read it, you think back and still cringe or smile to yourself. I know that if Sarah was a real person I would get on with her, she seems so normal and real unlike other teen fiction characters. This is defiantly a book that does what it claims, unlike other “teen reads” it is solely aimed and written for teens and you can clearly tell it is not an exaggeration, but is very true to life and experiences some of us might face at some point in life.

5/5
