We we saddened to hear the news of an assassination attempt on 14 year old Pakastani activist. Young blogger Malala Yousafzai started writing an anonymous blog for the BBC at the age of 11, highlighting the problems regarding women's rights and education that she and her community face during daily life under the rule of the Taliban regime. After the Taliban were ousted from the Swat area of Pakistan in 2009 Malala and her family have continued to receive death threats after her publication of the issues. Lets hope that this courageous young girl survives and continues to empower another generation of young minds. In the video below Malala talks with CNN reporter about why she continues to speak up.
